My paintings have always been inspired or influenced by the brilliance of our natural world. Whether it be the textures and shapes created by nature, or the colours and patterns that I see, these lead me to an idea that finds its way to the canvas. Water has been the influence behind many of my previous paintings. In this series it has not only been the subject but very much a part of the creative process. Every painting is a journey in itself, but “The Falls” have taken me on a visual journey discovering some of the most amazing and beautiful waterfalls on our planet. Incredible rock faces, fissured, eroded and sculpted over centuries by the movement and play of water...the force and the power as well as the calm and serene each playing their part. The colours from minerals, lichens and pigments reflected through the water each creating an ever changing artwork of their own.

The artwork will be safely stored, free of charge until Friday 15 December 2023. Alternatively, Freedom from Torture can help organise national and international delivery of artworks through a third party, to the winner. The winning bidder will be responsible for all delivery costs and will be invoiced directly by the third party.
