Jake is a London-based artist, working primarily with printmaking. His work reflects on the nature of artifice, selfhood and the act of making. Jake’s woodcut series Emerging Artist depicts people painting their faces, men
with exposed nipples, pictures hanging on walls, clowns and childbirth. As Line Of Thought, Jake leads collaborative projects that combine making and philosophical enquiry with institutions including Whitechapel Gallery, Tate and the RCA. He is a tutor at the Royal Drawing School and leads workshops with the Royal Academy. Jake’s work lives in public and private collections including The V&A, The Royal Collection, Pallant House Gallery and The British Museum.
Terms and Conditions: Please note all works will be available for collection from Wednesday 8 November 2023 at Freedom from Torture offices, 111 Isledon Road, London N7 7JW. The artwork will be safely stored, free of charge until Friday 15 December 2023. Alternatively, Freedom from Torture can help organise national and international delivery of artworks through a third party, to the winner. The winning bidder will be responsible for all delivery costs and will be invoiced directly by the third party.
