Dan Schlesinger is an acclaimed fine artist whose innovative works are prized by collectors in England, the United States and Japan and elsewhere around the globe. His creative energy finds exuberant expression in oil and pastel. Since arriving in the United Kingdom, Dan Schlesinger has built a reputation as the creator of work that is both popular and critically acclaimed. He has been shown in some of the most prestigious galleries in England, among them the Mall Gallery, the Medici Gallery, the Walker Galleries and the Courcoux & Courcoux Gallery. Having lived a number of years in the Far East, Dan exhibits widely in Japan. Since 2002, under the auspices of the important Prova Gallery, his work has been shown in over forty solo exhibitions around the country. He is well known in Japan as the illustrator and cover designer of all seven books of the Japanese edition of the Harry Potter series, of which over 25 million copies have so far been sold. Dan has appeared often on Japanese television and radio. He recently delivered a popular Ted-x talk on the colourful story of his life - "From Harvard Law to Hogwarts".

The artwork will be safely stored, free of charge until Friday 15 December 2023. Alternatively, Freedom from Torture can help organise national and international delivery of artworks through a third party, to the winner. The winning bidder will be responsible for all delivery costs and will be invoiced directly by the third party.
